Robert P. Breese
Robert is one of the most decorated and
respected EMS professionals in Western New York. Mr. Breese has
served in various leadership capacities within the EMS realm.
Bob is a New York State Certified Instructor Coordinator,
Certified Flight Paramedic, Critical Care Paramedic and serves
as adjunct faculty to the accredited Monroe Community College
Paramedic Program. Mr. Breese has mentored countless EMS
providers from their infancy in the field to their respected
positions. Bob is infamous for his knowledge of pharmacology and
has been published in several trade magazines on the topic.
Alan R. Bubel
A 16-year veteran of the fire service,
is a career battalion chief with a fire department in Monroe
County, currently assigned to the line division. He is a member
of his departments Domestic Preparedness Team and has been
involved in the development of a Weapons of Mass Destruction-
Awareness and Response training program for emergency responders
and hospital personnel. Battalion Chief Bubel holds an
Associates’ Degree in Fire Protection Technology, is a New York
State certified EMT, and is a nationally certified Fire Service
Instructor I.
Deborah Adams
Deborah Adams is an experienced EMS provider as well as an educator. She has worked her way from providing care as an EMT to becoming a paramedic and then moving into the training arena where she directed the training departments for two large commercial ambulance services. During her tenure as an EMS provider she performed in a variety of settings including a busy urban 911 system. While working as a paramedic she assisted in the training of new personnel and then started to help develop quality assurance processes dealing with documentation. Debbie has a variety of experiences as an educator having worked with small groups, large groups, online classrooms as well as individuals. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in education.
Richard L. Russotti, Sr.
A 16-year veteran of emergency medical and fire
service as a firefighter, paramedic, and currently serving with
a career fire department in Monroe County as a lieutenant
assigned to the line division. As a certified New York State EMS
and Fire Instructor I, Lieutenant Russotti lectures frequently
on various fire/EMS and domestic preparedness topics. He is also
the first non-physician to hold the Vice-Chairman of the
Monroe-Livingston Regional Emergency Medical Advisory Committee
from 1997 to 2004. In 1999 Rick was honored as “Paramedic of the
Year” in the Monroe-Livingston EMS system and again in 2003 with
the MLREMS “EMS Leadership” award.
Rick has completed the certificate program in Disaster and
Emergency Management at Rochester Institute of Technology in
addition to a degree in Fire Protection Technology. Rick has
been studying domestic terrorism issues and mass casualty
incident response since 1995. His previous experience includes
rural volunteer fire service and EMS management as Chief
Paramedic in volunteer and commercial agencies. Rick lives in
the Town of Greece, NY with his wife and four children.
Mark Tornstrom Mark Tornstrom arrives to ISRS through his affiliation with
Monroe Ambulance. Mark is the Executive Director of Monroe Ambulance where he
oversees a staff of over 150 providers. Mark has always been respected by his
subordinates and peers for his skillful way of teaching and proficiency in
pre-hospital medicine. Mark is adjunct faculty at Finger Lakes Community College
where he brings his expertise to the classroom. With all his responsibilities, Marks
still finds time to co-chair the local Regional EMS Advisory Council and serve on the
Monroe-Livingston EMS Council. Mark is married and is the father of two sons. |
